Gregory James Gormont, 38, of Clearfield died Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at his home. He was born Oct. 29, 1977 in Frenchville, a son of Martin and Natalie Gormont.
He had most recently been employed with Howell Paving. He had also worked for Bowman’s Masonry, Hawbakers Construction and Brian J. Owens Excavating.
Mr. Gormont enjoyed riding all-terrain vehicles, hunting and watching the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins. He was a member of Cornerstone Community Fellowship, Wallaceton
In addition to his parents, Greg is survived by his wife, Ashley (Graham) Gormont, to whom he was wed on May 17, 2014 in Wallaceton.
He is survived by two sons, Camden and Dylan Gormont; two sisters, Jennifer Taylor and her husband, Jeremy and Micha Gormont; a nephew, Kaleb Taylor; and his grandmother, Lena Gormont.
He is also survived by his father-in-law, Dean Graham and his companion, Laura Lahoda; his mother-in-law, Patty Hannah and her husband, Dan; a step-sister, Brandi Matsko; his former wife, Mindy Gormont; and his former in-laws, Sandy and Gary Harrier.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Lewis Gormont.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Kevin A. Beardsley Funeral Home, Clearfield, with Pastor Matt Scott officiating. Burial will follow in the Reidy Cemetery, Wallaceton.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Bank & Trust, c/o Greg Gormont Fund, 11 North Second St., Clearfield.
