CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Shane Marsh, 30, of Jefferson Avenue, Beaverdale.

Marsh is wanted for failure to appear at a preliminary hearing June 15, at which time a warrant was issued for his arrest. Marsh also failed to appear at arraignment June 29.

On Feb. 29 Officer Shawn Kronenwetter of the Lawrence Township Police Department filed a criminal complaint in which Marsh was charged with retail theft, F3, and receiving stolen property, M1.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, on Nov. 16, 2015, Kronenwetter was assigned to investigate a reported theft at a local business.

Upon arrival Kronenwetter made contact with store personnel who provided surveillance video and other information regarding the recent theft.

Kronenwetter observed a male who was allegedly removing electronic devices from the store. He subsequently released images to several media outlets.

With the assistance from the public, Kronenwetter was able to identify the male as Marsh.

A preliminary hearing was held June 15, at which Marsh failed to appear, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Marsh also failed to appear at arraignment court June 29.

Marsh is described as a Caucasian male standing 5 feet, 6 inches tall. He has brown hair and hazel eyes.
