Stella Warholic, 86, of Fowler, Ohio, formerly of Beccaria, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 in Meadowbrook Nursing Home, Fowler.
Born on Oct. 29, 1929 in Beccaria, she was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Kapalchik) Warholic.
She was a graduate of Madera High School. She worked at the Cigar Factory in Philipsburg before moving to Ohio.
There, she worked as a nurse’s aide at several nursing homes and as a caretaker/companion for Bob Hope’s brother and wife. A big thrill for her was meeting Bob Hope and his wife, Dolores, several times and spending time with them.
She is survived by her three sisters, Katherine (Bill) Lawrence, Irene Duke and Martha Ardale-Svehla; her twin brother, Stacy Warholic; her sister-in-law, Susan Warholic; and her numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by eight siblings, Ann Seckinger, Eva Charomoho, Mary Finch, Mike Warholic, Helen Warholic, Wasco Warholic, Christine Palus and John Warholic.
Family will receive friends from 12 p.m. Wednesday until the time of service at 2 p.m., at the Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey. Fr. Paul Bigelow will officiate.
Burial will follow in St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cemetery.
