State police at DuBois
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Tuesday in the 100 block of Main Street in Falls Creek Borough. During an argument over a vehicle, a female allegedly struck the victim in the face. Charges have been filed as a result of the incident, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police responded to a two-vehicle collision Thursday on Route 220 in Huston Township. Further, a vehicle was traveling south while a second vehicle was traveling north. For unknown reasons, the first vehicle entered the northbound lane; the second vehicle subsequently swerved into the southbound lane to avoid a collision. However, the first vehicle re-entered the southbound lane, and the two vehicles collided there. Both operators were transported to Mount Nittany Medical Center with major injuries, according to state police. State police are continuing their investigation into the collision at this time.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of identity theft that occurred April 16 on Cunningham Road in Young Township. During the incident, someone allegedly opened a Fingerhut account in the victim’s name and then subsequently purchased a computer and cellular phone. State police are continuing their investigation at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police received a report that a bicycle was removed from Williams Street. The owner later located the bicycle, police said.
- Police are investigating the alleged theft of medication from a Weaver Street residence.
- Police responded to Nichols Street for a report about a dog that was loose in the area. Further, police were able to get the dog and locate its owner.
- Police assisted a State Constable in apprehending a male who had an active arrest warrant along South Fourth Street.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a female who was inside of a vehicle on Clark Street.
- Police received a report about a verbal domestic dispute in Glen Richey.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of disorderly conduct that occurred at a business in Hyde.
- Police conducted a warrant service in the area of Coal Hill Road.
- Police received a report about a lost Master Card at Denny’s Beer Barrel Pub.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of theft/fraud at the Wal-Mart Supercenter.
- Police received a burning complaint in the area of Joseph Road.
- Police responded to a report about a fight at the Toasted Monkey. It was unfounded, police said.
- Clearfield Borough police were assisted with a suspicious person in the area of East Cherry Street and Temple Avenue.
- Police received a report about a suspicious conversation that was occurring on Hill Street. It was unfounded, police said.
- Police assisted a homeless male.
- Police located an open door to a business on Route 322.
Curwensville Borough
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing at a Thompson Street residence.
- Police received a report about alleged incidents of corruption of minors. Further, police are investigating with the assistance of Children & Youth Services.
Decatur Township
- Police attempted to stop a motorcycle for a traffic offense in Houtzdale. However, it fled and led police on a pursuit through Houtzdale, Ramey and Janesville. There, the male operator was taken into custody after parking behind and then hiding inside of a garage.
- Police contacted a female in reference to an alleged assault.
- Police located a suspicious vehicle and determined everything was OK.
- Police were contacted in reference to a traffic complaint involving a reckless driver near True Value. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- Police were advised about a tractor-trailer blocking one lane in front of Pizza Hut in Philipsburg. It was removed from the area, police said.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday police received a report from a 44-year-old Circle Road resident who stated that her ex-boyfriend’s girlfriend was harassing her via Facebook.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at the Hampton Inn on Wednesday.
- Police received a report about a false alarm at a Maple Avenue residence on Wednesday.
- Police received a report about several all-terrain vehicles being driven on Home Camp Road on Wednesday. However, the vehicles were gone upon police arrival.
- Police received a report from a 62-year-old East Maloney Road resident who stated that someone had been knocking on her door and running away. Also, on this evening, they’d left a dead snake on her porch, she told police. A witness reported seeing two to three kids fleeing the area. Officers searched the area but could not locate them.
- On Thursday police received a report from a Wilson Avenue resident who had observed an unknown male in her neighbor’s vehicle. She watched as he exited and then started walking toward Dixon Avenue. He stopped and entered another vehicle and then continued on to Dixon Avenue. However, the suspect was gone upon police arrival.
- On Thursday police received a report from a 54-year-old Lincoln Drive resident who was hearing loud music and fireworks coming from a Forest View Drive residence. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Thursday police received a report from a Sabula resident who had observed two women riding a side-by-side on Hubler Road without any helmets. Officers checked the area and could not locate the vehicle.
- On Thursday police received a report from a 58-year-old Treasure Lake man who stated that his 26-year-old son had been harassing him via text message. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- On Thursday police received a report from a 43-year-old Treasure Lake man who stated that his daughter’s 25-year-old boyfriend came to his home and was harassing him and his mother over the way they treat his daughter. Officers handled the situation without incident.
