CLEARFIELD – The Wal-Mart Distribution Center No. 6027 recently presented a $2,500 Local Giving Grant to the Clearfield Revitalization Corp. (CRC).
Presenting the contribution is General Manager Brian Rosenberger. Receiving the contribution is CRC Main Street Manager Loretta Wagner.
The Local Giving Grant was applied to the CRC’s Beautification Day that took place Saturday, May 14 in downtown Clearfield.
Wagner commented, “This generous contribution allowed the CRC to purchase necessary supplies toward our beautification project, like flowers and mulch, in which almost 60 community volunteers are involved in.”
She added that, “Tree boxes in downtown Clearfield were attended to, as well as beautification of the streets and sidewalks. Thank you to the Wal-Mart Distribution Center for making this day possible.”
Rosenberger also commented,” I am so glad to work for such a great company that supports the local community like Wal-Mart does.
“The company gives each location a grant budget to help support their local community, and we also have a Volunteerism Always Pays program that supports non-profit organizations that our associates are involved with.”
Rosenberger continued on, saying “These non-profit organizations are making a big impact in our community, and it gives me a great deal of pride to support them.”
On Saturday, July 9 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., the CRC Super Summer Yard Sale will take place at the Expo II Building at the Clearfield County Fairgrounds.
Wal-Mart is donating “scratch and dent” items for this sale to benefit the CRC, so that it can continue to provide events to the community.
