State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Monday on Edwards Street in Chester Hill Borough. During the incident, a Chester Hill woman and the victim engaged in an argument that became heated when the woman allegedly slapped the victim across his face twice. She was charged as a result of the incident, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- On June 23 a Sandy Ridge man’s dog went onto a neighbor’s property and defecated on their porch.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were called to Arnold Avenue for a report about juveniles who were ringing doorbells and then leaving the area. Upon arrival police located the juveniles, and they were turned over to their parents. Charges are pending on the juveniles as a result of the incident, police said.
- Police were called to Turnpike Avenue for a report about a large bear in the area. Further, police were able to locate the bear and maintain its location until the Pennsylvania Game Commission was able to respond and handle the situation.
- Police were called regarding the alleged theft of a necklace. Upon investigation police found it was turned into a local jewelry store.
- Police responded to Hannah Street for a tree that had fallen onto a vehicle. The vehicle was parked and not being operated at the time, police said.
- Police were called to the area of Turnpike and Tyler avenues for juveniles who were inside the storm drain. Upon arrival police located the juveniles inside the drain.
- Police checked for a suspicious male who was to be along Cemetery Road. However, the male had left prior to police arrival at the scene.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of a wheelchair lift that was removed from an Ogden Avenue residence.
- Police were called to an East Locust Street residence for an apparent dispute. Upon arrival police found that a husband and wife had engaged in an altercation earlier in the day. However, no signs of a physical altercation were found, police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a person.
- Police received a report about a civil issue.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle in the area of Bowman’s Hill. Upon arrival police were unable to locate the vehicle.
- Police received a report about a stolen blue and gray mountain bike in the area of Lawrence Avenue.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment in the area of Palmer Street.
- Police assisted state police at Clearfield with an incident involving an abandoned vehicle in the area of Bowman’s Hill Road.
- Police responded to a vehicle-versus-deer accident on Coal Hill Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment in the area of Edgewood.
Curwensville Borough
- Police located a female at the Curwensville Commons who was wanted on an active warrant. She was turned over to a constable and transported to county jail.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance on Filbert Street. It was found to be a verbal argument, police said.
- Police had warned and informed several people that they were not permitted on a property.
- Police reported that a known male was allegedly found to be under the influence of drugs in the area of Beech and Anderson streets. He had also entered a residence uninvited and was removed by the homeowner; he then attempted to gain entry into another residence, police said. He was allegedly found in possession of a controlled substance and transported to the hospital for treatment.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of an iPad.
Decatur Township
- Police responded to Sheetz in Philipsburg for a non-reportable accident. No injuries were reported, and both vehicles were drivable, police said.
- Police located a suspicious vehicle parked in the lot at the police department. Upon making contact with the occupant, police found everything to be OK.
- Police received a report about a traffic complaint in the area of Snappy’s Convenience Store in Houtzdale. Further, known persons are operating their vehicles with careless disregard to others and property, police said.
- Police responded to an alleged incident of trespassing on Log Cabin Road.
- Police arrested a male after allegedly locating drug paraphernalia in a vehicle in which other illegal substances were found. The male was taken to the county jail as a result, police said.
- Police contacted a female about a phone scam.
- Police received information about a vehicle that was being driven illegally in Decatur Township. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
