DUBOIS – The investigation is ongoing after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle and killed Friday night near the intersection of DuBois Street and West DuBois Avenue, reported DuBois City police.
Upon arrival police found a male on the roadway. The driver told police she was traveling east on DuBois Avenue when she failed to observe the pedestrian and struck him with her 2007 Mazda 6.
Upon investigation police arrested the female for suspected DUI. The pedestrian was transported to Penn Highlands Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
“This investigation is still ongoing and criminal charges are expected,” police said. Police didn’t identify the victim in their accident report.
