State police at Clearfield
- State police reported an incident of disorderly conduct that occurred Wednesday on private property on Roy Mays Road in Pike Township. Further, an Olanta woman allegedly withheld information on the whereabouts of a suspect who had caused bodily injury to another person. She was cited through the district court as a result.
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Thursday on PA 53 Boulevard in Beccaria Township. During the incident, a Fallentimber man was allegedly involved in a verbal altercation that turned physical. He was cited through the district court as a result.
State police at Punxsutawney
- State police received a report about an incident of identity theft that occurred May 1 on Graffius Avenue Extension in Bell Township. During the incident, someone allegedly opened a fraudulent account in the victim’s name and then purchased a computer at $678.37. When it arrived, the package was picked up at the UPS hub in DuBois, state police said, and the investigation is continuing at this time.
Clearfield Borough
- Police were called for an automatic alarm along South Front Street. Further, police responded and determined an employee had activated it.
- Police assisted a motorist with unlocking their vehicle along West Second Avenue.
- Police were called to South Fourth Street for a dead deer in the roadway, which was causing a traffic hazard. It was later found to be in Lawrence Township.
- Police arrested a male on active warrants along East Market Street. There were also several items of drug paraphernalia removed from the residence, police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police assisted emergency personnel with gaining access to a residence due to a medical emergency.
- Police received a report about a traffic hazard along Route 879. It was subsequently removed from the roadway.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of harassment. Further, police advised those involved to cease contact with each other.
- Police responded to the intersection of Bigler Avenue and Woodland Road for a motor vehicle accident with injury. One vehicle was towed from the scene, police said.
- Police responded to the area of 879 Auto for a motor vehicle accident. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police received a report about a civil issue in the Turnpike Avenue area.
- Police received a noise complaint involving fireworks in the Hyde area.
- Police responded twice to an alleged domestic dispute in the Cindy Lane area.
- Police received a report about the alleged corruption of minors while handling a domestic on Cindy Lane.
- Police received a report about a private property accident in Kerr Addition.
- Police responded to an alarm.
Decatur Township
- Police located a tree across the roadway on Frog Hollow Road. It was blocking one lane of travel and police were able to remove it.
- Police located a vehicle that was pulled over on Coeplin Road. Upon investigation police allegedly found drug paraphernalia on one suspect.
- Police contacted the fire department about a tree down on the roadway along Walton Street.
- Police responded for a deer that was struck on the roadway. Upon police arrival, it was removed from the roadway.
- Police located an area in Decatur Township where people have allegedly been illegally dumping garbage. Police would like to remind residents that they will be fined for illegally dumping any material.
- Police responded to a possible break-in at a Good Street residence. Police didn’t find anyone after searching the residence.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of trespassing/harassment from a resident in Decatur Township.
- Police received a report about the alleged theft of belongings at the Harbor Inn. Charges are currently pending against those responsible, police said.
DuBois City
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance between a 56-year-old man and his 30-year-old girlfriend on Wednesday in the 600 block of Locust Street. Upon arrival police found that it’s been an ongoing problem for the couple, and the woman left the residence to stay with family.
- Police received a report about a domestic disturbance between a husband and wife Wednesday in the 300 block of South Brady Street. Upon arrival police found that they were arguing over taking their child to an amusement park.
- Police reported that on Wednesday a DuBois resident received a call from a man who claimed to be from National Fuel. The caller allegedly threatened to shut the gas off if an amount of money was not paid to him. An officer contacted the 800-number that the call came from and questioned the man about his service. However, he ended the conversation by hanging up on the officer. Police are investigating the incident and remind residents not to give personal or financial information out over the phone.
- On Wednesday police arrested a 53-year-old DuBois man for public drunkenness and for outstanding warrants. Police were called about the man allegedly harassing kids at the basketball court in the city park. When officers arrived to the scene, he was found to be highly intoxicated. The man was subsequently transported to and housed at the Clearfield County Jail.
- Police reported that a white iPhone was turned into them Thursday. It was located in the 100 block of East Scribner Avenue and has a picture on the screen. Anyone who has lost an iPhone can contact the DuBois City police at 814-765-1533.
- Police reported that a three-vehicle accident occurred Thursday on East DuBois Avenue. One vehicle was towed from the accident scene; one person who complained of pain advised he would go the emergency room for evaluation, police said.
- A vehicle-versus-bicycle accident occurred Thursday on South Jared Street. The bicyclist suffered minor injuries, and police are continuing their investigation of the accident.
Sandy Township
- On Wednesday a South Highland Street man reported construction trucks traveling on his property. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about kids on all-terrain vehicles riding recklessly on the roads in the Kiwanis Trail area on Wednesday. Officers checked the area, but the juveniles were gone upon their arrival.
- On Thursday a corporate investigator for Kwik Fill alleged that an employee had been stealing from the Brady Street location. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- On Thursday police received a report about a suspicious man who was talking to trees while walking on Juniata Street Extension. Officers checked the area, but the man could not be located.
