After a morning in which he threw a reporter’s microphone into a lake, Cristiano Ronaldo made another big splash at the European Championship finals by firing Portugal into the last-16.
Without a goal in his first two Euro 2016 games, Ronaldo scored twice as Portugal came from behind on three separate occasions to claim a 3-3 draw with Hungary in Lyon.
The result was enough to secure third place in Group E for Portugal — despite it failing to win any of its three group games.
Hungary, which qualifies as group winner, was not expected to make it through to the next stage but took five points from its three matches to edge Iceland into second.
