Jerry Seinfeld is back getting coffee and this time with comedian Margaret Cho.
On the upcoming episode of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” Seinfeld cruises around Los Angeles with Cho in a 1967 Mazda Cosmo on his hit show.
Although the show is normally full of laughs, it takes a more serious tone when Seinfeld and Cho drive to the Stress Factory, a comedy club in New Jersey where several audience members walked out on Cho in March. Cho had taken the stage and instead of telling jokes she discussed a time when she was raped and Garry Shandling’s death.
In this episode, Seinfeld and Cho invite the audience back so that she can have a mea culpa with them. At the time Cho tweeted that her rant was due to jet lag and her team released this statement: “I love the Stress Factory and I love comedy. I’m sorry that I wasn’t at my best, but maybe in a way, I was. I bring the real me and my truth to my work. It’s not perfect, it’s not manufactured, it’s real. Everyone has a bad day at work. I was also upset because one of my heroes (Garry Shandling) just died. That doesn’t excuse my behavior, but it just shows that I am only human.”
“Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” is executive produced by Seinfeld and the series has been nominated eight times for an Emmy.
