Jay L. Richner, 47, of (Sanborn) rural Houtzdale, died Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Mount Nittany Medical Center in State College.
Born Sept. 15, 1968 in Philipsburg, he was the son of the late Leo and Violet (Bumbarger) Richner.
He married Holly L. (Pedmo) Richner on Oct. 10, 1997 in (Morgan Run) Osceola Mills. She survives at home.
Mr. Richner was of the Christian faith. He was a laborer for Smith Masonry in Hollidaysburg, a member of the National Laborers Union and a 1989 graduate of the Philipsburg-Osceola Mills High School.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Richner.
Along with his wife, he is survived by three children at home, two daughters, Emily E. Hampton and Paige Richner and a son, Alex L. Richner. He is also survived by a sister, Eloise Herr of Philipsburg and a brother, Mark Richner and his wife, Janet of West Decatur.
The funeral service will be held at 8 p.m. Monday, at the Heath Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Osceola Mills, with Pastor Donald Smith officiating.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
