Edward J. Coval, 84, of Hawk Run died Tuesday, May 24, 2016 at Windy Hill Village, P.S.L., Philipsburg.
Born July 15, 1931, he was a son of the late John H. and Anna M. (Yuhas) Coval.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mildred and Josephine Coval and an infant brother, John.
Mr. Coval was a member of the Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Hawk Run. He was a member of the Lincoln Slovak Club, also of Hawk Run.
He had been employed for 21 years with the General Cigar Company of Philipsburg. He then worked for 13 years with the Piper Aircraft Corp. in Quehanna until retiring.
On Aug. 25, 1956 in Philipsburg, he married the former Dolores “Dolly” M. Pepperday, who survives at home. Also surviving is a sister, Martha Kashtock of Hawk Run.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, Hawk Run, with the Rev. Robert J. Horgas as celebrant. Burial will follow at Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Hawk Run.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Friday at the Beezer-Heath Funeral Home, Philipsburg. The rosary will be recited at 5:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
