John Paul Kropinsky, 85, of Woodward Township died Monday, May 23, 2016 at his home.
Born Dec. 25, 1930 in Cassandra, Pa., he was the son of the late John and Mary (Waslosky) Kropinsky.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Tyrone American Legion Post 281 and an avid hunter and fisherman.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Christina (Lukens) Kropinsky; two brothers, Andrew and Michael Kropinsky; and three sisters, Nellie Shumack, Kathryn Peslipsky and Sophie Olenoski.
He is survived by his two daughters, Kristi Twoey and her husband, David of Houtzdale and Mary Jane McGinnis and her husband, Vincent of Clearfield; his twin brother, Stephen Kropinsky of Janesville; a sister, Frances Mann of Naples, NY; and three grandchildren, Nicole (Vincent) Cieslewicz, Ethan McGinnis and Christine McGinnis.
He is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Hagen and Fynlee Cieslewicz and numerous nieces and nephews.
Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. – 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Thursday and from 8:30 a.m. – 9:30 a.m. Friday at Kruise-Spewock Funeral & Cremation Services Inc., Ramey.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday in Christ the King Parish, Houtzdale, with the Rev. Marc J. Solomon as celebrant. Burial with military honors will follow in Umbria Cemetery, Osceola Mills.
