REYNOLDSVILLE – Jeff Tech wishes to announce its May Student of the Month sophomore, Mindy Hollenbaugh.
She is a Punxsutawney student enrolled in the Cosmetology Career and Technical Education program at Jeff Tech.
She lives with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Doug (Gwen) Hollenbaugh and with a twin sister, Macey Hollenbaugh, who also attends Jeff Tech in the Culinary Arts CTE program, and a younger brother, Wayne.
Hollenbaugh is a member of STARFISH, Jeff Tech’s anti-bullying organization. She also participates in service days with her Cosmetology shop going to Christ the King Manor in DuBois to work on manor residents’ hair and nails.
In her spare time, she is involved in a faith fellowship missionary youth group at her church. She is also a member of the Past to Present Machinery Association. This organization volunteers at fairs and other events and sometimes bringing in machinery for display, hosting tractor pulls and helping with parking cars.
Upon graduation, Hollenbaugh plans to go to work in a local salon as a cosmetologist using the knowledge she has obtained at Jeff Tech.
