Drivers should use alternate routes
CENTRE COUNTY – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is alerting drivers that Route 322 in Centre County will be closed today in both directions (east and west) from Philipsburg at Route 504/Coldstream to Port Matilda at Interstate 99. Clean-up from an earlier tractor-trailer crash makes the closure necessary.
PennDOT expects the closure to be in place from early this afternoon until clean-up is complete.
Drivers are encouraged to make use of Route 3040 and Route 350 as travel alternatives. Drivers familiar with the area may choose to use other routes as well.
Signage and message boards are in place to alert drivers to the closure. PennDOT will issue updates as necessary, dependent on work progress.
