BROOKVILLE – This Saturday will mark a thrilling time for enthusiasts of bone-crushing motorsports action in the Brookville area when JM Motorsport Productions invades the Jefferson County Fairgrounds.
The Monster Truck show and events are hosted by the Jefferson County Fairgrounds and the Brookville Volunteer Fire Company.
The Monster Truck freestyle show will feature four of the more highly decorated trucks in the industry.
Headlining will be Mike Vaters Jr. and his “Overkill Evolution” monster truck. In 2014, Vaters won Monster Jam Young Guns championship and last year captured the Monster Jam World Freestyle championship in Las Vegas.
In doing so, Vaters and his Overkill Evolution became the first driver and truck to ever win Young Guns one year and the World Finals the next.
Not to be outdone is the Higher Education Monster Truck. A staple at national Monster Jam events since 2011, Higher Education features a special concept uniquely designed as a flat-nosed school bus. Temporarily Insane and Jethro Tow are also scheduled to appear.
For rabid monster truck fans, there’s a “Party in the Pit” before each show. For an additional $5, you can meet the drivers, get their autographs and take close-up pictures of the trucks.
Between the shows, for kids aged 4-9, there will be a Power Wheels Demolition Derby.
Two shows are scheduled that Saturday for 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
General Admission tickets are on-sale now for $15 or will be available at the gate the day of the event for $18.
Tickets are good for both shows and are available now online at www.jeffcofair.com and at select businesses around the area.
Purchase tickets in advance at Sheetz stores in Brockway, Brookville, Falls Creek, DuBois Route 255, DuBois downtown, DuBois Route 322 Blinker, Clearfield (both locations), Punxsutawney, St. Marys, Ridgway and Clarion.
Tickets can also be purchased at any Hoak Insurance location, any Sarvey Insurance location or from the Brookville Fire Company.
Fairgrounds concessions will be open with food and drinks for sale.
