CLEARFIELD – Central Pennsylvania Community Action (CPCA) is the recipient of a grant from the Northwest Charitable Foundation to be used as matching funds for CPCA’s Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG).
The ESG provides rapid rehousing for those individuals at risk of becoming homeless.
Residents who may qualify for assistance under the ESG are those who are at risk of losing housing, those who have an eviction notice from the magistrate or those who have a severe housing burden (55 percent to 75 percent rent to gross monthly income ratio).
The income guidelines for the ESG program are that consumers must be at or below 30 percent of the Area Median Income (AMI). In addition, the apartment/house rent plus cost of utilities must be under the Fair Market Rent (FMR) for Clearfield County.

There are qualification rules and regulations, but CPCA can help determine if an applicant qualifies for one of these programs, or even additional assistance offered by the agency.
