State police at Clearfield
- On Saturday state police received a report about a Philadelphia woman who was found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected marijuana on the property of the State Correctional Institution at Houtzdale. Charges were filed through the district court, state police said.
State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of theft from a motor vehicle and access device fraud that occurred sometime Thursday or Friday on South Eagle Valley Road in Union Township. During the incident, someone allegedly removed the victim’s debit card from her vehicle and then made multiple withdrawals. Anyone with information is asked to contact the state police at Philipsburg at 814-342-3370.
Lawrence Township
- Police were requested to check the welfare of a male in the area of Sapp Bros. Truck Stop. However, he was gone upon police arrival to the area.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief in the area of Dixon Road.
- Police received numerous reports about IRS scams.
- Police responded to the Economy Inn for a report about an unwanted male.
- Police received a report about a traffic violation on Washington Avenue in Hyde. Further, several vehicles passed another that was turning into the Hyde Post Office on the right side of the roadway. Police will provide extra patrols in the area.
- Police received a report about an overdose on Turnpike Avenue Extension. The patient was transported to the hospital for treatment, police said.
- Police are investigating the alleged theft of a “Baby Trend” jogging stroller. It was taken from the Sapp Bros. Truck Stops on May 8. The stroller, police said, is black, gray and red in color and will be missing its baby seat. Anyone with information is asked to contact the township police.
- Police responded to a report about a prowler on Valley View Drive.
- Police were requested to check the welfare at a disabled vehicle on Little Clearfield Creek Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged domestic dispute.
Sandy Township
- A 24-year-old DuBois man was charged with public drunkenness and careless driving after officers received a report of him recklessly driving in Treasure Lake on Friday.
- On Friday a 70-year-old Johnsonburg man reported that somewhere on Route 219 he hit a cement barrier along the roadway; however, he couldn’t remember where exactly. No injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- A vehicle driven by a 72-year-old Reynoldsville woman was stopped on Watson Highway waiting to turn into Hanzely’s Nursery on Friday when she was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by an 82-year-old Reynoldsville man. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were towed from the scene, police said.
- On Friday Treasure Lake Security reported that someone had damaged a sign near Captain Kidd Park.
- A vehicle driven by a 16-year-old girl was slowed down to pull into The Roadside Café when her vehicle was hit from behind by a vehicle driven by a Clarion woman on Friday. No injuries were reported as a result, and both vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
- Police responded to a Hanes Drive residence for an alleged domestic dispute Friday. Upon arrival officers found the 20-year-old couple had been having a verbal argument, and they handled the situation without incident.
- In violation of a “No Trespass Notice” on Saturday, a 26-year-old Treasure Lake man who was a former employee of McDonalds was allegedly hanging out in the restaurant. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- On Sunday a 45-year-old Circle Drive resident alleged that a 20-year-old Brockway woman had been harassing her 17-year-old daughter via social media. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- Police received a report about an alleged assault occurring in the Perkins parking lot on Sunday. Upon arrival officers found the female victim who stated that her 21-year-boyfriend had assaulted her after they had engaged in a fight while sitting in their vehicle. The man then left the scene on foot, she told police. The man was located and arrested on domestic violence charges and transported to Clearfield County Jail.
