State police at Philipsburg
- State police received a report about an incident of harassment that occurred Monday at an East Pine Street residence in Philipsburg Borough. During the incident, two people engaged in an argument that allegedly resulted in physical contact. Both were cited for the incident, state police said.
- State police investigated a natural death Monday at a Nearhood Lane residence in Taylor Township. According to the report, troopers were contacted by Centre County 911 about a deceased male being found, and upon investigation state police and the coroner determined it was due to a vast array of ongoing medical issues. The case will remain open pending receipt of the coroner’s report or death certificate, state police said.
Sandy Township
- On Friday employees of S&T Bank reported a man who was calling and wanting his money, which is in an account managed by someone else. The calls were threatening in nature, according to police. Officers handled the situation without incident.
- A 76-year-old Ridgway man was traveling over the parking spaces in the Bon Ton parking lot Friday. At the same time, a vehicle driven by a 42-year-old Port Allegheny woman was traveling down the proper row and hit the man’s vehicle. No injuries were reported as a result, police said.
- On Friday officers were called to Wal-Mart for a report of possible child abuse. Upon investigation officers determined there was no abuse.
- A 26-year-old Ollie Lane woman reported her 29-year-old estranged boyfriend was standing on her front porch and would not leave Friday. Once she called police, he fled the area.
- On Friday Wal-Mart employees alleged a 38-year-old DuBois woman attempted to take $60.46 worth of merchandise without paying for it. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- Police responded to a Treasure Lake residence for a report about a verbal domestic dispute Friday. It was found to be between a woman and her boyfriend, and alcohol was contributing factor. Police handled the incident at the scene.
- A 54-year-old DuBois woman was allegedly caught by Wal-Mart employees attempting to take $16.08 worth of merchandise without paying for it on Friday. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- On Sunday a Circle Road man reported his daughter received stolen merchandise from a friend. A 19-year-old boy admitted to police that he took the merchandise. Charges are currently pending at this time, police said.
- A 43-year-old woman reported someone was attempting to break into her camp at Cayman Landing Sunday. Officers searched the area but couldn’t locate anyone.
