HYDE — Monday afternoon’s home games for the Clearfield Area High School baseball and softball teams were postponed because Sunday and overnight rain made the Bison Sports Complex fields unplayable.
Athletic director Robert Gearhart rescheduled the Bison’s Mountain League baseball game with Tyrone for Wednesday and the Lady Bison’s non-league softball game with Glendale for Wednesday, May 11.
For the Bison (6-5, 5-4 ML), the make-up will give them three games in as many days. They are booked at Curwensville Tuesday for a non-league encounter and at Wingate Thursday for a league showdown with Bald Eagle Area.
The Lady Bison (3-7, 2-7) already have three more games on the slate this week, league action at Tyrone Tuesday and home against Bald Eagle Area Friday sandwiching a non-league test at Curwensville Thursday.
Gearhart also announced that the Lady Bison’s home game with Bellefonte that was postponed Thursday and Friday now is scheduled for Tuesday, May 17.
