DUBOIS – A DuBois man has been charged with indecent exposure for allegedly standing naked in his doorway near an elementary school.
Poorman Accused of Stealing from Elderly Woman
DUBOIS – A woman has been accused of theft for taking funds from an elderly woman.
Aimee Sue Poorman, 50, whose current address is listed as Gendive, Mont., was charged by Pennsylvania State Police with a felony count of theft by unlawful taking as a result of her actions beginning in April of 2012 when she was granted power of attorney for the victim.
County Seeking Proposals for Loan Consolidation
CLEARFIELD – The Clearfield County Commissioners would like to consolidate the county’s loans and are seeking proposals from banks, announced Commissioner John A. Sobel, chair, at Tuesday’s regular board meeting.
Residents Address Clearfield Municipal Authority Over Rate Increases
CLEARFIELD – Several residents attended last night’s Clearfield Municipal Authority meeting with concerns about the rate increase for sewer bills.
The business delegation made up of Clearfield County Commissioners John Sobel and Tony Scotto, along with Clearly Ahead Development staff, Rob Swales, chief executive officer, Paul McCloskey, vice president of energy and business development, and Clearly Ahead Development board chairman, Dave Schultz, have returned to the United States after spending seven days on an international business and trade development mission in China.
Lego Gets Jail for Breaking into Residence
CLEARFIELD – An Osceola Mills woman was sentenced to jail Tuesday for breaking into a residence.
Heidi Jo Lego, 36, 110 Stone St., Osceola Mills, was sentenced to 60 days to one year in jail and two years consecutive probation for criminal trespass, harassment and public drunkenness after she pleaded guilty. Judge Paul E. Cherry also fined her $400 plus costs.
