A warehouse storing chemical products has caught fire and exploded in east China’s Jiangsu Province, according to Chinese state news agency Xinhua.
Witnesses and rescuers said the explosion in Jingjiang city occurred around 9 am local time. Nearby factory workers have been evacuated, according to local reports.
The fire is under control and there are no reports of any casualties, according to local authorities.
The explosion took place at the Jiangsu Deqiao Storage Company Ltd, which is located in an industrial park in the city, according to Chinese state media.
The company’s main business, according to state media, is storing, transferring, repartitioning and packaging liquid oil and gas products.
