Brenda Marie Proud, 59, of Curwensville died Wednesday, April 20, 2016 at her residence.
Born Jan. 19, 1957 in Clearfield, she was the daughter of Robert E. and Lois (Cramer) Riddle.
Mrs. Proud had worked for several banks, including Clearfield Bank & Trust Co., Keystone, Integra and Northwest Savings Bank.
She then had been a bookkeeper for Lezzer Lumber Co. in Curwensville and last had worked in the cash office for Lowe’s Home Improvement Store in Clearfield where she retired from.
She was a member of the Curwensville United Methodist Church, where she had participated in the annual “Search for Peace” Pageant. She was a former member of the GFWC Woman’s Club of Curwensville.
On Oct. 4, 1975 in the Curwensville United Methodist Church, she wed Glenn E. Proud, who survives, along with her parents of Curwensville, two sons, Erik Proud and his wife, Charis and Jason Proud and his wife Stacie, both of Curwensville, and four grandsons, Colby and Caleb Proud and Gavin and Gage Roos.
Services for Brenda Proud will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Curwensville United Methodist Church with the Rev. Charles Gummo officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
Friends and family will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday at the Chester C. Chidboy Funeral Home Inc. of Curwensville and again from 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Saturday, when the procession will depart for the church.
