Joseph T. Bunnell, 82, of Clearfield died Monday, April 18, 2016 at his residence.
Born Oct. 25, 1933 in Curwensville, Pike Township, he was the son of Harry J. and Hazel (Shaffer) Bunnell. Â He was a U.S. Naval veteran of the Korean War.
He retired from the Pennsylvania Plasterers Union, where he worked on various local homes, the Taj Mahal in Atlantic City, NJ and the rotunda at the Capital Building in Harrisburg.
He was also a member of the Clearfield and Curwensville L.O.O.M. and the Curwensville American Legion Post 505 and VFW Post 842.
He is survived by a daughter, Laurie Robertson and her husband, Robert of Clearfield; three grandchildren, Leah Robertson and Joseph Robertson, both of Clearfield, and Laina DuFour Jackson and her husband, Brandon of Mineral Springs and a sister, Sally Withey of Shiloh.
On Sept. 30 1961 in Niagara Falls, he wed the former Mae L. DuFour, who preceded him in death on Aug. 21, 2014. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Donald Bunnell.
At the request of Mr. Bunnell, there will be no public visitation or services. A private memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be held in the Oak Hill Cemetery in Curwensville.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
