Mary M. Melani, 95, of DuBois died Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the DuBois Nursing Home.
Born Nov. 16, 1920 in Curry, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Angelo and Mary A. (Ambrose) Maracini.
In 1948, she married Lee Melani. He preceded her in death in March of 2001.
She was a secretary at Whitehall Junior High School for many years.
She is survived by a son, Peter Melani and his wife, Patricia of DuBois; three grandchildren, Adam Melani, Lee Melani and his wife, Anna Kate and Christopher Melani; and two great-grandchildren, Lyla and Blake Melani.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Melani; a brother, Herbert Maracini; and two sisters, Mildred and Lucille Maracini.
There will be no visitation.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. Friday at the St. Bernard Roman Catholic Church in Falls Creek with Fr. Rick Tomasone as celebrant.
Burial will be in Jefferson Memorial Park in Pittsburgh.
