Join your woodcock watch guide at the tornado display in front of the Tyler Cabin (Cabin Classroom) to witness the annual spring mating display flights of the Timber-doodle. Learn how you can get close and observe the turkey-like strut of the male woodcock. Dress for the weather.

Bring along a mug or cup for a hot beverage (coffee and tea provided), and we’ll set off on an easy walk to see what wildlife might be stirring around the park. We’ll focus on seeing and hearing the many birds that call Parker Dam State Park home.

Can you name all of our State Symbols? Pennsylvania has a variety of plants and animals that represent many important aspects of our state. Learn not only what all of our State Symbols are, but why they were selected and what makes them so interesting. Spaghetti Supper
Curwensville Community Center
Spaghetti suppers will be held every Thursday from 4 p.m. – 6:30 p.m., except on holidays, at the Curwensville Community Center. The cost is $7 for adults, $4 for children under 12 years and free for children under 6 years. Take-outs are also available.
