Virginia A. Hyatt, 91, of Curwensville and formerly of Clear Run, died Monday, April 4, 2016 at Ridgeview Elder Care in Curwensville.
Born Dec. 30, 1924 in Sandy Township, she was the daughter of the late William Kenneth Hyatt and Florence Margaret (Heberling) Hyatt.
She was a twin. Her sister, Vivian preceded her in death on June 5, 2014.
She graduated from Sandy Township High School. She worked for Rola Jensen and at Turner’s Five and Ten. She lived most of her life in Clear Run with her two sisters, Viv and Dorie.
She was a member of the Lakeside United Methodist Church. She often spoke fondly of memories of the Hyatt Farm and helping her mom and dad. She loved flowers, gardening, crocheting, knitting and being with her sisters.
She is survived by two sisters, Doris (Dorie) Hyatt of DuBois and Phyllis Pierce of Erie; a niece, Nancy Baker and her husband, Neil of West Columbia, SC; and a nephew, Charles Pierce and his wife, Cheryl of Erie.
There will be no visitation.
A committal service will be held at 12 p.m. Tuesday, April 12 at the Chapel at Morningside Cemetery.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family at the Lakeside United Methodist Church.
