DUBOIS – The DuBois Central Catholic Middle School held its annual seventh grade Science Fair on March 18 in the school’s gymnasium.
Exhibition of the projects for the public was held on Palm Sunday, March 20, while the judging of the projects took place on March 18.
Each student prepared a 10-minute presentation of an investigation. Some students worked in pairs while others were individual presenters.
The students were judged on how well they applied the steps of the scientific method, earning points based on their visual display and how they answered questions posed by the teams of judges.
Judges for this year’s science fair were local pharmacists, a college biologist and community volunteers with a science background.
Coordinator of the 2016 Science Fair and Floor Manager was Donna Chollock, Science Department chairperson. The student projects were under the guidance and instruction of Renee Gressler, middle science teacher at DuBois Central Catholic.
