State police at Clearfield
- State police received a report about an alleged incident of criminal mischief that occurred Monday on Windy Hill Road in Pike Township. During the incident, someone intentionally drove over the victim’s black, metal mailbox and metal pole. Damage is estimated at $50, state police said.
- State police responded to an accident Tuesday on Route 53 in Decatur Township. Further, a vehicle was traveling north and its operator, an Osceola Mills woman, was negotiating a left-hand curve. The woman lost control of her vehicle, which crossed over into the southbound lane and continued until striking an embankment. Her vehicle rotated counterclockwise a half-turn and struck a second vehicle, which was legally parked in a lot. The woman was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, state police said.
Lawrence Township
- Police received a report about a deer struck by a vehicle in the area of Industrial Park Road.
- Police received a report about an alleged incident of simple assault that occurred in the area of Clark Street.
- Police received a report about found drug paraphernalia in the area of Bowman’s Hill Road.
- Police received a report about a suspicious vehicle in the area of the Rockton Mountain Highway.
- Police received a report about shots fired in the area of Park Avenue Extension. It was determined it came from a military funeral service, police said.
- Police received a report about lost or stolen property, which was a wedding ring, in the area of the Edgewood Apartments.
- Police received a report about an IRS phone scam.
- Police responded to the area of Mount Joy Road to assist the Sheriff’s Department with a traffic stop/fleeing vehicle.
- Police received a report about a hit-and-run accident that occurred on Kurtz Road in Golden Rod. It remains under investigation at this time, police said.
Sandy Township
- On Monday a 32-year-old Maple Avenue man alleged that he came home to find someone had broken into his apartment and removed a PlayStation 4 and several games. Police are continuing their investigation at this time.
- A tractor-trailer hit another tractor-trailer in the parking lot of Pilot on Monday. Minor damage and no injuries were reported, police said.
- On Monday an 18-year-old DuBois girl was turning from West Long Avenue to Central Christian Drive when she hit a vehicle that was stopped at the stop sign on Central Christian Drive. No injuries and minor damage were reported, police said.
- On Tuesday a 37-year-old Tozier Avenue woman alleged being harassed by her 31-year-old neighbor while walking her kids from the bus stop. Police handled the situation without incident.
