Almeda Jane Frame, 90, of Hyde died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at Mountain Laurel Nursing Home & Rehabilitation Center.
Mrs. Frame was born April 29, 1925 in Lansford, Pa., the daughter of the late Joseph Edgar and Alice (Snyder) Kellow.
She owned and operated “The Remembrance Shop,” which was a gift shop in Bethlehem, Pa.
Additionally, she was employed as an office manager for Dr. George C. Covalla, a case worker for the Department of Public Welfare and secretary at Centre Grove Church for 13 years.
Mrs. Frame was a member of the Friendship Class at Trinity United Methodist Church, a former officer for XYZ, a former officer for the United Methodist Women, a member of the Red Hats and a RSVP Volunteer. She would provide Bible Studies to Knickerbocker Villa.
She loved reading, participated in several card clubs, enjoyed traveling and most of all cherished all of her friends.
Mrs. Frame was an avid baker and became Mrs. Bethlehem Pennsylvania by winning the Pillsbury Bake-off for her cherry pies.
She was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church and present member of Centre Grove Church.
Her survivors include three children, Karen Sergeant-Clifford and her husband, Michael of Phoenix, Ariz., Holly Frame Brown and her husband, James of Hyde and Gil D. Frame II and his wife, Krista Boalich Frame of Coudersport.
Her survivors also include four grandchildren, Timothy James Brown and his wife, Monica, Heather Christine Test and her husband, Scott, Joshua Frame and his wife, Jennifer and Jennifer Sergeant and her companion, Christopher Stott and six great-grandchildren, Joanna, Gracie, Emma, Sadie, Griffin and Ray.
She was the last member of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gilbert D. Frame, who died Feb. 26, 1983; her brother, William A. Kellow; and two grandsons, Christopher Sergeant and Andrew Frame.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. on Thursday, with the Rev. Dr. Randy Willis officiating.
Friends will be received from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
