Robert K. Williams, 85, of DuBois died Wednesday, March 9, 2016 at his home.
Born Jan. 16, 1931 in Christiana, Pa., he was the son of the late Jacob J. and Fannie (Bowermaster) Williams.
On Feb. 27, 1954, he married his wife of 62 years, Shirley (Chalfant) Williams. She survives.
Mr. Williams was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served during the Korean War.
He retired as a mechanical engineer from Unisys Corp. in Philadelphia after 36 years of service.
He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Garfield Lodge No. 559 Free & Accepted Masons.
Mr. Williams was also a member of the Scottish Rite, Coudersport Consistory. He was a past member of the Treasure Lake Lions Club, and he loved to fish, read and golf. Most importantly, he was a humble and caring man who loved his family and friends.
He is survived by three children, Beth Williams-LeRoy and her husband, Charles and Allison Williams-Ball and her husband, Dean, both of DuBois, and Carol Williams and her husband, Frank of East Followfield, Pa., five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his brother, James Williams.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home.
A masonic service will be conducted by the members of the Garfield Lodge No. 559 on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 22 at the Christ Lutheran Church with Pastors John and Amy Miller officiating.
