Donald Trump is narrowly leading Ohio Gov. John Kasich in his state’s Republican primary although the GOP front-runner holds a substantial lead over his rivals in Florida, according to analysis from CNN’s Poll of Polls released Friday.
Hillary Clinton is leading Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders by more than 30 points in the Florida Democratic primary, that same analysis shows.
Ohio and Florida voters go to the polls Tuesday.
In Ohio, Trump has support from 36% of voters while Kasich has 34%. Texas Sen. Ted Cruz has 17% while Florida Sen. Marco Rubio is at 8%.
Trump has a much more substantial lead heading into the Florida Republican primary with 40%, according to most recent CNN Poll of Polls averages. He is ahead of Rubio, who is attracting 26% of the vote, by double digits. Cruz has 18% of the vote and Kasich is at 8%.
On the Democratic side, Clinton is leading Sanders by more than 30 points in Florida. The former Secretary of State has 62% of support while Sanders has 31% of the vote.
