Francis C. “Fuzz” Rowles, 83, of Hyde died Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Mountain Laurel Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
Mr. Rowles was born March 14, 1932 in Faunce, the son of Warren and Della (Cathcart) Rowles.
He retired from Sky Haven Coal Company. Mr. Rowles was Protestant by faith.
He was a member of the Clearfield Eagles.
Mr. Rowles is survived by his wife, Caroline R. (Rishel) Rowles; a daughter, Betty Jean Loflin and her husband, Glenn of California; a son, Raymond A. “Kelly” Rowles and his wife, Jacqueline of California; a step-son, James Whited and his wife Geni of Clearfield; nine grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; a sister, Glenna Jean Lindenmuth of Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Rowles; and three sisters, Naomi Rowles, Elma Locky and Virginia Hurley.
Funeral services will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with Pastor Ernest Simmers officiating. Burial will be in Bradford Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 6 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
