Miley Cyrus caught some heat for what some fans viewed as cyberbullying of actress Jodie Sweetin, but the “Fuller House” star had a classy comeback.
After Cyrus posted pictures from Sweetin’s wilder days — which included the latter’s “Full House” co-star Dave Coulier’s face superimposed over her companion’s — there was an outcry that the photos were disrespectful to Sweetin, who has been five years sober after battling drug addiction.
Sweetin, who will be appearing in the upcoming season of “Dancing With the Stars,” told E! she is ignoring it.
“I don’t pay attention to negative stuff,” Sweetin said. “I have so much good stuff going on in my life right now that I try not to pay attention.”
Cyrus addressed the complaints in the photo’s caption, saying, “only you freaks take this as shaming! To me it looks like Stephanie (Sweetin’s character on the show) is having a f**king gay ol time!”
Sweetin is a mother of two now and recently became engaged to boyfriend Justin Hodak.
She’s been very open about her addiction to meth, which she wrote about in her memoir “unSweetined.”
The actress told E! that her fellow “Full House” cast members have helped her through some of the tough times.
“I don’t think that there’s anything that we go through, good, bad or daily stuff, that we can’t share with each other and enjoy and support and love each other,” she said. “We’ve known each other for almost 30 years now. When you are as close to people as we are to each other, for that long, you become a family. We support and love each other no matter what.”
