CLEARFIELD – District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr. has announced Clearfield County’s Fugitive of the Week.

Shaw identified the fugitive as Kirk Bloom, 27, of Main Street, Woodland. Bloom is wanted for failure to appear at Arraignment Court on Feb. 24.

On Jan. 4 Officer Mitchell Klender of the Clearfield Borough police filed a criminal complaint against Bloom. He charged him with driving under the influence of a combination of drugs and alcohol, M1, and related traffic offenses.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, while on routine patrol Dec. 12, 2015, Klender allegedly observed a vehicle with a headlight that was not illuminated. As a result, Klender conducted a traffic stop due to the violation.

Upon making contact with the driver, identified as Bloom, Klender allegedly observed two, six-packs of beer on the floor with one bottle missing. He also allegedly detected signs of impairment.

After conducting a series of sobriety tests, Bloom was transported to the Clearfield Penn Highlands Hospital for blood testing.

A preliminary hearing was held Feb. 3, at which time the charges were held to court. On Feb. 24, Bloom failed to appear at Arraignment Court, and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Bloom is described as a Caucasian male standing 5 feet, 10 inches tall. He has green eyes and brown hair.

Anyone with knowledge of Bloom’s location is asked to call Clearfield County Crime Stoppers at 800-376-4700. All calls to Crime Stoppers are confidential.
