Carolyn M. Fudrow, 93, of Ramey died Friday, March 4, 2016 at Windy Hill Village, Philipsburg.
Born April 23, 1922 at Barnesboro, she was a daughter of the late John Karol and Antoinette (Malik) Karol.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Houtzdale American Legion and for 30-plus years she worked the Christ of King bingo.
On Dec. 28, 1939, she married John Fudrow, who died June 1980.
She is survived by her sons, Walter Fudrow of Ramey and John Fudrow and his wife, Linda of Stevens, Pa., and a daughter, Carol Pope of Aiken, SC.
She is also survived by four grandchildren, Brent (Takako), Lori (Len), Lisa (Matt) and John (Irina); five great-grandchildren, Dara, Timothy, Angeline, Cecelia and Charlie; and two great-great-grandchildren, Lennox and William.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law, James Pope; a brother, John Homerski; and four sisters, Helen, Blanche, Theophila and Mary.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at Christ the King Catholic Church, Houtzdale, with Father Marc Solomon as celebrant. Burial will be in Immaculate Conception Cemetery.
Friends will be received from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Birger A. Freeberg Funeral Home Inc., Houtzdale.
A vigil prayer service will be led by Father Marc Solomon at 7:45 p.m. at the funeral home.
