DUBOIS – DuBois City police are investigating an attempted break-in that occurred during the early-morning hours Friday in the 100 block of South Jared Street.
According to the report, two males allegedly attempted to break into the caller’s residence. While en route, police were advised they’d fled on foot toward West Washington Avenue.
The caller told police the males were dressed in black with ski masks over their faces. He alleged that the males assaulted his girlfriend, but she didn’t need emergency personnel.
Upon arrival police learned the males knocked on the front door. When the female answered they allegedly attempted to push their way inside the residence.
The female confronted the males who were allegedly carrying plastic pistols. When the female pushed the males out the door, one allegedly struck her in the face, police said.
The female last observed the males fleeing on foot toward West Washington Avenue and walking east, police said. Anyone with information is asked to contact DuBois City police.
