Ann M. Carney, 91, of DuBois died Saturday, March 5, 2016 at Christ the King Manor.
Born April 15, 1924 in Kittanning, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Novosat) Brosky.
She was married to Robert D. Carney Sr. for 65 years. He preceded her in death on March 23, 2010.
Mrs. Carney was a homemaker.
She was a member of the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church, where she was a past member of the Altar Rosary Society and a Eucharistic minister.
She was also a group leader for Small Christian Communities and a member of the church choir. She coordinated a team from St. Catherine’s to work at the food pantry and was a catechist at St. Catherine’s for special needs children.
Mrs. Carney was also involved in Camp Confidence and Special Olympics.
She is survived by her children, Roberta A. “Robynn” Camuso and her husband, Stephen of DuBois, Renee D. Hill and her husband, R. Barry of Newport Richey, Fla., R. Scott Carney and his wife, Gina of York and Robert D.”RD” Carney Jr. of Reynoldsville; six grandchildren, Christian and MacKenzie Camuso, Ryleigh Ann and R. Bryce Hill and Michael and Matthew Carney; and a great-grandchild, Lorenzo Camuso.
She is survived by two brothers, Joseph and George Brosky, both of Brockway.
Mrs. Carney was preceded in death by three brothers, John, Robert and Frank Brosky.
Friends will be received from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. Monday at the Goble-Baronick Funeral Home Inc. A scriptural wake service will be prayed at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the St. Catherine of Siena Roman Catholic Church with Msgr. Richard Siefer as celebrant.
Burial will be in St. Catherine’s Cemetery.
