DCC to Host Sister’s Easter Catechism: “Will My Bunny Go to Heaven?”

DUBOIS – DuBois Central Catholic will be hosting another in the series of performances by Late Night Catechism, entitled “Will My Bunny Go to Heaven?”

This interactive theater experience will take place in the school’s auditorium on March 19, at 7 p.m.

Starring in this seasonal hit is actress Colleen Moore, who performed on Central’s stage last year.  Moore has enjoyed playing the role of Sister in national tours and off-Broadway for several years.

According to Entertainment Events Inc. (producer), based in New York City, this year’s event will unearth the origins of Easter bunnies, Easter eggs, Easter bonnets, Easter baskets and of course, those yummy Easter Peeps.  Sister answers questions about pet heaven and “Why isn’t Easter the same day every year like Christmas?”

Theater-goers will have the opportunity to ask some questions and then listen to the quick responses as Sister improvises with wit and reasoning, occasionally departing from church doctrine to offer some thoughts of her own, which adds to the fun evening.

Although the show is focused on Catholicism, many of the traditions and practices are familiar parts of American culture, such as the Easter basket and coloring eggs, Mardi Gras celebrations and movies such as Ben Hur and The Robe.

The audience should beware that classroom participation is a must. Tickets are only $30 per person and can be reserved by calling 814-371-3060.  Tickets will also be available in the high school office during school hours or at the door.
