Ann Stauffer Barger, 90, of Clearfield died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospital.
Mrs. Barger was born Aug. 19, 1925 in Clearfield, the daughter of Paul and Rebecca (Armstrong) Stauffer.
She retired at the age of 62 from Fullington Auto Bus Company as a bookkeeper.
Mrs. Barger was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church of Clearfield, where she belonged to the Friendship Class.
She was a member of NON and Bridge and Pinochle Club.
Mrs. Barger is survived by three children, Sherry Burfield and her husband, Steward of Olanta and Susan Kurtz and Peter Smith and Sandy Anderson and her husband, Joseph, all of Clearfield; four grandchildren, Julia Horn, Abigail Billotte, Joseph Edward Anderson and Elizabeth Ann Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Rachel Horn, Oliver Billotte and Lucy Billotte; two nieces; and three nephews.
She was the last member of her generation. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward R. Barger, who died Oct. 29, 1984 and to whom she was married April 6, 1944; a brother, Fredrick Stauffer; and three sisters, Alieen Morgan, Sarah Barnes and Janet Homan.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield with the Rev. Robert Stump officiating. Burial will be at Crown Crest Memorial Park.
Friends will be received from 4 p.m. – 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
