CLEARFIELD – The Community Guidance Center (CGC) Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program is now located at 600 Leonard St. in Clearfield.
The move was made to help consumers get better access to psychiatric rehabilitation. It was also made so that they could benefit from the other quality services that the Community Guidance Center provides out of its 600 Leonard St. location.
The newly-renovated space provides consumers with better physically-disabled space and access, new appliances for the consumers to use, the incorporation of outside activities, access to transportation services and access to Mental Health and Drug & Alcohol Outpatient Services.
Psychiatric rehabilitation is a non-clinical adult program designed to promote recovery for people with psychiatric disabilities and encourage them to live more independently.  The program offers groups in the domains of living, learning, social, vocational and educational.
Psychiatric rehabilitation will help the individuals gain skills in order to meet their needs and work toward meeting the goals that they choose to continue along the pathway of recovery.
The CGC Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program is currently accepting referrals. Referrals can be made by calling the Clearfield office at 814-765-5337.
