CLEARFIELD – Students in the Health Occupations program at the Clearfield County Career & Technology Center (CCCTC) are currently learning about different roles of patient care.
One of the more important roles is hygiene. Non-traditional student Johnathan Bobbert from the Health Occupations program is shown helping his “patient,” Alexis Lawhead, Health Occupations student.
The Health Occupations Instructor, Shannon Weymer, believes that the best learning experiences is actually doing so she came up with a “Let’s Go to Work” day.
Students were divided and assigned either a patient in a wheelchair or bed or a healthcare professional. The “healthcare professional” receives a report from Weymer about their patient care for the day.
Weymer says that this is such a great learning experience.
