David L. Hallock, 83, of Clearfield died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2016 at the Ridgeview Elder Care and Rehabilitation Center in Curwensville.
He was born Nov. 28, 1932, a son of the late Clair ‘Pete’ and Leila R. (Mann) Hallock.
Mr. Hallock retired from UPS as an aircraft supervisor. Prior to that, he was employed by Capitol International Airways.
He served with the U.S. Air Force for eight years during the Korean War.
He was a member of the Mount Joy United Methodist Church, Clearfield.
He was also a member of the Clearfield American Legion John Lewis Shade Post No. 6, the Free and Accepted Masons Lodge No. 314, Clearfield and the Sam Davis Lodge No. 661, Smyrna, Tenn.
He is survived by four sisters, Dena Jeanne Murphy and Janet Carolyn Franklin, both of Baltimore, Md., Linda Leila Ninkovich of New Park and Shirley Mae Evans and her husband, Harold of Citrus Springs, Fla.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at the Mount Joy United Methodist Church, Clearfield, at 11 a.m. Friday, March 4, with the Rev. Kenneth J. Leonard officiating.
Military honors will be accorded at the church by the members of the Clearfield Honor Guard.
