Does Will Ferrell not feel the Bern anymore?
Ferrell, who was previously on Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ list of celebrity endorsements on his campaign website, was recently campaigning for Hillary Clinton in Nevada.
The former secretary of state tweeted out a video Saturday morning that shows the comedian urging people to vote in the Democratic caucuses.
Clinton tweeted, “Will Ferrell has a message for you, Nevada: Caucus for Hillary today at 11AM. Your location: http://hillaryclinton.com/nevada”
The video shows Ferrell, next to Clinton and former President Bill Clinton, telling Nevada voters to caucus for Clinton, saying, “It’s really important that everyone shows up to caucus.”
When reached for comment, Clinton’s campaign said that Ferrell has donated to her campaign and is co-hosting a fundraiser for the candidate in Los Angeles on Monday.
A spokesman for Ferrell didn’t comment on whether or not Farrell had ever formally endorsed Sanders or Clinton, saying simply that he was acting in support of the Democratic process and plans on supporting the eventual Democratic nominee whoever it is.
“I am currently endorsing the democratic process which I feel is important to not lose sight of. I feel both candidates have very good ideas on how to run the country and positively influence the lives of Americans. More importantly, whoever the Democratic nominee is they will have my vote,” said Ferrell in a statement.
