William A. Marsh, 64, of Clearfield, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2016 at Penn Highlands Clearfield.
Mr. Marsh was born Feb. 9, 1952 in St. Marys, the son of Albert F. and Cathryn (Luzier) Marsh.
He had been employed by the Pennsylvania State University and State College Area School District. He was most recently self-employed.
PC Week referred to him as network technical coordinator at PSU’s Center for Design and Computing in University Park.
Mr. Marsh was on the Advisory Board for Chipcom Corp. He was quoted by many in the industry and was considered ahead of his time.
He attended and successfully completed the Pennsylvania Game Commission deputy training at its headquarters in Harrisburg.
He was a member of Clearfield Alliance Church. He was a member of the Republican Party and past chair of the American Red Cross.
He was also a member and instructor of the NRA. He organized self-defense classes for woman, including firearms training.
He is survived by the wife of his youth and loving companion, Kimberly A. Marsh Owens. He will be missed by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by his parents.
He loved doing for and serving others whether at a family reunion, his church or just in everyday life. Nothing gave him greater joy than giving others joy.
His desire was that all would come to know Jesus Christ as their personal Savior as he did. John 15:16
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Clearfield Alliance Church with the Rev. Robert B. Goldenberg officiating.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. – 5 p.m. and from 7 p.m. – 9 p.m. Friday at the Bennett & Houser Funeral Home Inc. of Clearfield and from 12 p.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday at the church.
