Actor Orlando Brown, known for his role as Eddie Thomas on Disney’s “That’s So Raven,” was arrested in Los Angeles last month on suspicion of battery, drug possession and resisting arrest.
A felony complaint provided by the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office claims Brown was arrested January 17 by officers with the Torrance Police Department after striking a woman with whom he is in a relationship.
Brown, 28, denied the allegations in a series of videos and photographs posted on Instagram, which were later made private.
Brown was charged with possessing and bringing methamphetamine into police headquarters, possessing drug paraphernalia, battery and resisting or delaying arrest.
The drug counts are felonies, while the battery and delaying arrest charges are misdemeanors.
Brown, who was also in the film “Straight Outta Compton,” refuted the allegations and declared his love for his partner on Instagram.
“I’ve been in jail for a whole month and every day in jail is two days,” Brown said in one post. “Nobody cared about me. How do you think I feel?”
The actor is due back in court March 28 for a hearing.
A request for comment from Brown’s representatives has not been answered.
