The Haitian parliament elected a new interim President Sunday, one week after the previous President stepped down with no successor lined up.
Former head of parliament Jocelerme Privert is the new interim President. Privert will serve a term of 120 days and must confirm a consensus Prime Minister.
The election came after former President Michel Martelly stepped down February 7.
