The District 9 basketball committee recently announced the pairings for the 2016 playoffs.
The number one seed Clearfield boys team (20-2) will host the number four seed Bradford Owls (10-12) on Tuesday night at 7:00 p.m. at the Bison Gymnasium in AAA action.
The other AAA semifinal will see second seed St. Marys (14-8) hosting third seed Punxsutawney (14-8) at 7:30 on Tuesday.
The fourth seeded Clearfield girls team (10-12) will travel to Punxsutawney to face the number one seeded Chucks (18-4) at the same time as the Clearfield boys on Tuesday in one AAA semifinal. The other semi will find St. Marys (14-8) hosting Bradford (10-12).
The winners will meet for their respective AAA District 9 titles at a site and time to be determined.
The remaining top seeds for the playoffs are as follows: Boys A – Elk County Catholic (24-0), Girls A – Coudersport (21-1), Boys AA – Cranberry (14-8), Girls AA – Karns City (21-2)
