CLEARFIELD – A Coalport man accused of selling Percocet and marijuana has pleaded guilty before President Judge Fredric J. Ammerman in Clearfield County Court.
Gregory Lynn Gallaher, 57, P.O. Box 394, Coalport, pleaded guilty to delivery of a controlled substance-oxycodone and delivery of a controlled substance-marijuana.
He was sentenced to nine months to 18 months in the county jail and one year consecutive probation. He was fined $200 plus costs. Due to the felony drug charge, he will have to submit to DNA testing at a cost of $250.
The charges stem from incidents in February and March of 2015 when he sold a confidential informant Percocet on two occasions and marijuana at another time. Gallaher was one of the people arrested during “Operation Leaf Rake” last fall.
According to the affidavit of probable cause, the informant set up a purchase of Percocet pills for $5 each from Gallaher on Feb. 6, 2015 at the Coalport VFW.
When the informant and an undercover officer arrived, Gallaher was in the parking lot waiting. He then approached their vehicle. He reached into his jacket pocket and removed a small, clear baggie with several large white pills that he gave the informant in exchange for $100.
On Feb. 24, 2015, the undercover officer spoke to Gallaher. He said he could get the officer a “bag of weed.” Plans were made to meet and the officer called him the day to discuss the time and location. They then met at the Coalport VFW.
After the officer went inside, she saw him sitting at the far side of the bar. They spoke for a short time before returning to the parking lot. The officer paid $60 from a plastic bag containing a green, leafy vegetable matter that was later confirmed to be six grams of marijuana.
In March of 2015, Gallaher was contacted again by an informant who wanted to purchase Percocet pills. This informant told an undercover officer that they both could purchase the drug from him. This time they met Gallaher outside his residence.
He entered the back of the vehicle and they then traveled to the Coalport VFW. Once parked, Gallaher handed the officer a bag with 10 large pills later confirmed to be Percocet. He then gave the officer four additional pills in a cellophane cigarette package. The informant gave him $50 for the pills.
“Operation Leaf Rake” was a result of a cooperative drug investigation in Clearfield County coordinated by the District Attorney’s Office, and the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General, Bureau of Narcotics Investigation, according to a press release from District Attorney William A. Shaw Jr.
Many of the suspects were selling the controlled substances on the streets, in parking lots, in local establishments, and in apartments and houses throughout the county.
