Ann M. Zaffuto, 89, of DuBois and formerly of Sykesville, died Friday, Feb. 5, 2016 at Christ the King Manor.
She was born Sept. 21, 1926 in Anita, the daughter of the late Carmelo and Gaetana “Tillie” (Vitello) Zaffuto.
She was a homemaker. She had worked as a clerk for Horne’s Department Store in Pittsburgh and in the Zaffuto Market in Sykesville.
She was a member of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Church in Sykesville. She was a member of the Rosary Society and active in church functions.
She enjoyed sewing. She loved her family and dotting on her nieces and nephews.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Tillie Zaffuto, Stella London, Lillian Murdock and two brothers, Samuel and Anthony Zaffuto.
Friends will be received from 10 a.m. – 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Christ the King Manor.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Christ the King Manor with Msgr. H. Desmond McGee as celebrant.
Burial will follow in the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery, Sykesville.
